IRINA G.

Paul is an art dealer and owner of the Paul Fisher Gallery in West Palm Beach, Florida, established in 1990. In the mid-1980’s he met Dale Chihuly and traveled with him around the world through the 1990’s, selling his work and consulting on major projects. Paul was a protégé of the great Henry Geldzahler and in the early 90’s traveled with him internationally as a Cultural Attaché for the U.S. Information Agency. Fisher and his best friend Bruce Helander (the notable artist/critic/curator) have collaborated on hundreds of exhibitions, private sales and media events over the last 30 years.

At the Paul Fisher Gallery he has produced some of the biggest and best attended art shows in West Palm Beach. He is known for showing a balance of famous artists and young emerging talent. The gallery is located in the Flamingo Building, which Fisher owns and is also a popular event site. He operates other exhibition spaces in Palm Beach at the celebrated Brazilian Court Hotel, at the Ogetti Building in the heart of Miami’s Wynwood Art District and at the Palm Beach Art, Antique and Design Center. He exhibits nationally at leading art fairs as well.

He is the Founder and CEO of Juried Art Services, the premier service of its kind to manage the call to artists, application, jurying, and notification processes for museums and art organizations. Amongst the hundreds of clients using Fisher’s patented technology are the Smithsonian, Disney, Philadelphia Museum, Oil Painters of America, and Harvard.

Fisher is devoted to wildlife and the environment and is on the Advisory Boards or panels of the Gorilla Foundation, the Arthur Marshall Foundation for the Everglades, the Rare Species Conservatory Foundation and the Macaw Recovery Network. PalmBeachParrots.org is his creation to promote parrot conservation and education. He has also served as Mayoral Appointee on the Cultural Affairs Commission in West Palm Beach and is a voting member of the Public Art Commission for Palm Beach County.

Fisher is a long time martial arts practitioner and founder of the Palm Beach Bujinkan Dojo where he is the chief instructor since 1990. He travels to Japan regularly for training, over 30 times so far. He is the senior ranked practitioner in South Florida. He is also a yoga practitioner and long-time vegetarian. His beautiful and talented wife Irina is a successful artist that makes hand painted silk garments and paintings.

PS: Although Paul Fisher is writing this in the third person, we all know almost everybody writes their own bios as if someone else wrote it for them.
